Freedom Haters salute to the French continues with a special pictorial look at Le Beauf (pronounced "bohf"). What is a le beauf you might say (either aloud or to yourself). Well, le beauf is the France's little cousin to the UK Chav. (See Freedom Haters previous pictorial salute to Chavs.) 

According to Wikipedia, a beauf is essentially a Frenchman whose understanding and curiosity does not extend beyond his everyday environment. The canonical 1970s beauf by wore a moustache, while the nouveau beauf (new beauf) is a more urban and trendy version, perhaps sporting a “cool” ponytail.

Other classical traits of le beauf are uneducated, vulgar, brutal, and nostalgic about the colonial wars. Le beauf likes to take RV holidays around France. Alcohol is also a major part of the Beauf's environment as Beaufs are usually thought to be regular heavy drinkers of beers, hard liquors, and cheap wines.
